Every year we have been contacted to help individuals ticketed or arrested at the Carolina Cup. This is because area law enforcement sends hundreds of police officers who take a "zero tolerance" approach on public drunkenness, drug possession, DUI, and other violations. In fact law enforcement has been so aggressive in recent years local media has reported it's affect on attendance.
This year's Carolina Cup event begins March 28, 2020, @ 9:00 A.M. This annual event is held in Camden, South Carolina. It's only a 45 minute drive from the USC campus to Cup events, as well as an easy drive from Charlotte, Augusta, Greenville, or Charleston. This is a popular destination for area students, horse enthusiasts, and those looking to enjoy an outdoor event in early spring weather.
Criminal charges, even just a ticket, can have serious consequences. This can include a criminal record, driver's license suspension, fines, and jail time. The criminal defense lawyers at the Law Office of James R. Snell, Jr., LLC, have experience in resolving criminal charges from the Carolina Cup. All during the year we regularly appear in Camden area criminal courts. We have experience with charges sent to both the Kershaw County Magistrate Court and the Kershaw County Court of General Sessions. We can be reached at (888) 301-6004.
