Over 100 of those injured in the Amtrak 91 crash have been taken to hospitals in Lexington and Columbia, South Carolina. Many people have already been released, but some are being admitted.

By Car from New York
Lexington and Columbia are approximately a 7 hour drive from the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
Take I-95 South. Once inside South Carolina you take exit 160B to I-20 West. Continue on I-20 West, it will take you through Columbia and Lexington.
If you are going to Palmetto Richland take exist 68 and make a left. Palmetto Health is located in downtown Columbia, so GPS directions will be helpful. Without GPS, take a left on Columbia College Drive. This is just past the Eau Claire High School. Make a right on Farrow Road. Travel to Harden Street and then follow the signs to the hospital.
To get to Lexington Medical Center take exit 61 and then make a left. Hospital will be on your left.
By Car from Miami
Lexington and Columbia are approximately 9 hours from Miami. Take I-95 North until you reach I-26 inside South Carolina. Take 86B to get on I-26 West.
To get to Lexington Medical Center take exit 110 and then make a left. The Hospital will be on your right.
For Palmetto Health Richland take exit 1088-A onto 126. Follow 126 into downtown Columbia. It turns into Elmwood Avenue. Make a left onto Bull Street and then a right onto Harden Street. Follow the signs to the hospital.
By Air
The closest airport is Columbia (which is located in Lexington County). The airport code is CAE. Direct flights are available from New York, Philadelphia, and the Washington DC area. Rental cars are available at the airport. Taxi or Uber\Lyft service is available.
The Charlotte airport is approximately 2 hours from the Columbia\Lexington area via I-77. The airport code is CLT. This is a large airport, and has direct flights from many areas of the country and even international.
