Sheriff’s Department DV Cases
If you were charged with any level domestic violence case by the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Department it will be prosecuted in General Sessions. This is different than in other counties where lower-level offenses are prosecuted in magistrate court.
The difference with this is that many DV 3rd cases are in General Sessions. Defendants have to attend “roll call” with felony defendants and the same court procedures and time-lines applicable to cases like drug trafficking or child molestation apply.
If you have a DV charge in General Sessions we can help you lift a no-contact bond restriction. Do not risk a return to jail by violating any condition of your bond.

James Snell is a published author in the field of South Carolina DUI law. He has argued DUI cases before the state Court of Appeals, and has set legal precedent which applies in every DUI case today.
